ILT Projects: Professional Expert Profile
Interview with Michelle Thompson, Organizational Development Manager
Janus Capital Group

The project was conducted for IT6750: Current Trends and Issues in IT, which required an interview with a professional currently working in the field of instructional design. By completing this project, I gained insight about the diversity in the field of instructional design and avenues that graduates may pursue during and after the completion of the program.

One of the key lessons that Michelle shared in the interview was that to succeed in this field, you must be multi-dimensional. It was very interesting to me how her initial role in training, along with advanced education, eventually led to a position that combines corporate training and development with management.
